16TH ANNUAL MEETING OF STEERING COMMITTEE OF INTOSAI KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND KNOWLEDGE SERVICES COMMITTEE, 12 OCTOBER 2024, NAIROBI, KENYA

The 16th Meeting of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Knowledge Sharing Committee Steering Committee (KSC SC), held in Nairobi, Kenya on 14 October 2024, unanimously agreed to the proposal by the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of Malaysia to establish a new Working Group on Follow-up Audit under INTOSAI.

The presentation paper titled "Feasibility Report on Establishment of WGFA" was presented at the INTOSAI level via a recorded video by the Honourable Auditor General of Malaysia, who serves as the Chairperson of the Special Committee on Establishing the Working Group on Follow-up Audit (WGFA). The presentation included key information on survey results, functions, and the direction of the WGFA.

A total of 19 countries were members of this Special Committee, which has been meeting virtually since February 2024. SAI Malaysia was represented at the KSC SC Meeting by Mr. Mohd Shahril bin Yahya, Director of Performance Audit, National Audit Department of Malaysia.

SAI India, as Chair of the KSC SC, will present the proposal to establish the WGFA for approval at the 78th INTOSAI Governing Board Meeting to be held in Egypt on 28 October 2024.
